Km 0 Gastronomic Club honors Crestellina

The Kilómetro Cero Gastronomic Club awarded its Kilómetro Cero 2022 Awards this weekend at a ceremony held at Hacienda Nadales. Its more than 200 members, through direct voting, recognize the work of Malaga's restaurants and agri-food producers, among those they have met during the year in visits, presentations, and tastings. We are very happy with the award they have given in the producers category to Crestellina:

"The award for Best Producer went to Crestellina (Casares, Quesos Sierra Crestellina), a project by shepherd Juan Ocaña and his family that combines the organic production of Payoya goat cheeses with the dissemination of the values of this native breed from the Serranía de Ronda through visits, activities, workshops, accommodation at the cheese factory itself, and a 'cheese bar'."

We congratulate the other awarded producers and companies:

  • Best Processor, Viñedos Verticales (Axarquía).
  • Best Seafood Restaurant, Cávala (Malaga).
  • Best Gastronomic Restaurant, Beluga (Malaga).
  • Best Traditional Cuisine Restaurant, Taberna de Mike Palmer (Malaga).
  • Best Market Restaurant, Araboka (Malaga).
  • Best Tapas Restaurant 2022, La Cosmo (Malaga).
  • Best International Cuisine Restaurant, Niña Bonita (Malaga).

The Kilómetro Cero Gastronomic Club (@clubgastronomicokm0), which will celebrate its tenth anniversary on December 14 with an event at the Victoria Beer Factory, currently has 236 members, including restoration professionals, agri-food producers and distributors, but above all (65% of the total), people who are passionate about gastronomy, customers of restaurants and local producers.
